Fine Art
Fine Art level 5 and 6 qualification consists of competencies an individual must achieve to apply design elements and principles, conceptualise fine art, and produce paintings, drawings, sculptures, and product making.
Painting is a means through which the artist expresses moods and feelings using wet pigments — pencil, chalk, oils, and acrylics — on surfaces like paper, canvas, or board. The course introduces students to basic colour mixing (colour theory) and studio-based workshops on tools, accessories, techniques, and themes in painting.
Drawing, like painting, is a means of expressing emotion using both wet and dry media such as chalk, charcoal, pastel, coloured pencil, and ink. Students explore themes including portraiture, figure drawing, still life, and landscape.
Career options include work as an illustrator, studio artist, curator or exhibition designer, art tutor, or concept artist in animation.
