Buruburu Catholic Institute of Fine Arts (BIFA) is a Technical and Vocational Training College (TVC) owned and managed by the Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi. BIFA is an initiative of the Blessed Sacrament Parish which was conceived in 1990 by the church development committee. The purpose of establishing the Institute was to address the needs of the disadvantaged youth groups within and around Buruburu who could not continue with their formal education at the local public universities.
The college aims at promoting holistic growth of its trainees through teaching of Christian values, character formation and academic excellence in visual arts and design.
The college is accredited by TVETA, KNEC and NITA Registered. It offers training in Fashion design, Graphic design, Interior design and Fine Arts both at Certificate and Diploma Levels. It also offers short courses in Digital Graphics, Soft Furnishing, ArchiCAD, Pattern Drafting, Fabric Decoration, Painting techniques, Social Media Marketing and Photography.
The Examination Bodies are Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) and TVET-CDACC
